JP PADDICK

JP has been a vinyl junkie since the early 80’s and the obsession is still as strong today as it ever was! He has worked at Crazy Beat Records for 25 years and amassed quite a collection spanning all genres. He started his professional DJ career 30 years ago with a residency playing Soul/Jazz/Funk at Bar Rumba on Friday nights in London’s West End, a legendary venue in the 90’s and a great place to start the journey!

At the same time he landed another residency at Club YoYo alongside Trevor Nelson & Ronnie Herel. This was London’s premier R&B/Rap night that attracted many US/UK guests including Guru, Ice Cube, Mica Paris, Sounds Of Blackness etc. He went on to do the MTV Lick parties with Trevor and later Soul Nation events including nights at Pacha Ibiza and country wide tours. He was also a regular resident DJ at The Southport Weekender for many years and various other soul weekenders around the country, music is totally his way of life.

In more recent times he has ran the monthly Soul On Wax event with his long time DJ partner Abi Clarke at The Horse & Groom in Curtain Road, the party is still going strong five years on!

Also a Totally Wided Radio presenter and is currently one half of The Eclectic Soul Show with Eddie Piller every Thursday, he also has his own monthly slot too.

A Modcast DJ in more recent years playing at The Singer Tavern, The Modcast Boat Parties and the Mallorca events. With a diverse taste in music you never know sometimes just what you will get!
