Adrian Jae

An avid record collector and ‘crate digger’ since 1972, London’s Adrian Jae started DJing in 1983 and was the first Saturday night Resident at ‘The Fridge’ in Brixton from 1985. Adrian was the first DJ to play in the famous ‘Limelight’ Club in Soho in 1987 and can also boast of playing at the legendary Wharehouse Saturday nights @ The Electric Ballroom’ in Camden Town. Adrian’s versatility behind the turntables and encyclopaedic knowledge of different musical genres has also given him the opportunity to play alongside acts, as diverse as The Pogues, Curiosity Killed The Cat, The Pasadenas and Trouble Funk. A regular Modcast DJ and these days can also be found presenting his Straight Outta Brixton show on Portobello Radio in addition to playing at some of the UK’s best soul nights and guesting in various venues around the world.
