Jeff Barrett
Jeff Barrett was born in Nottingham in 1962, and is primarily known as co-founder and head of the Heavenly Recordings record label, established in 1990. He has worked in various roles within the music industry, including promoter, record shop bloke, rubbish tour manager, pretty good press officer and apparently an A&R executive. Jeff has worked with labels including Creation and Factory, and with bands including The Jesus and Mary Chain, Happy Mondays, Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream and The KLF. He is also a co-founder and editor of Caught by the River – an online publication concerned with the crossover between arts, nature and culture.
