Wolfgang Kerl

Wolfgang “Wolfie” Kerl, also known as Mr. Mojo, has been hooked on pop music ever since the British Invasion shook Germany via radio and television in the early 1960s. As a teenager, he was glued to the legendary BEAT-CLUB TV show, which brought the freshest sounds and fashion from the UK and USA into German living rooms.

Though not yet a record collector back then, Wolfie has since built an impressive vinyl archive — now owning every record he once dreamed of (and, of course, a few more).

In the 1970s, after studying Television Production, he went on to enjoy a successful 30-year career as a TV director for ZDF German Television, producing numerous iconic music programs. When early retirement came calling in 2008, it opened the door for Wolfie to return to his first love: music.

He launched the long-running German radio series “Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! – And The Beat Goes On”, where he shares his encyclopedic knowledge and deep passion for pop, soul, beat, and beyond. In 2022, he joined the Totally Wired Radio family with his monthly show, “Mr. Mojo on the Radio”, bringing his timeless selections to a global audience.

A beloved member of the Modcast Goes Riviera Beat DJ crew, Mr. Mojo is known for his deeply informed, wildly eclectic, and always joyful sets — digging across decades and genres to keep the dance floor moving and the spirit of the beat alive.
